Welcome to La Crosse’s monthly Ultimate tournament series! Hosted at The Bronze Dragon in downtown La Crosse, the Pop-Off series features both Ultimate Singles and an ever-changing side bracket that will bring exciting twists to the gameplay! We look forward to seeing you there!

2:30 PM: Doors/Setup ($10)

Free parking is available across the street from the venue at the Main Street Ramp on the corner of 3rd and Main Street. 2 hour parking is also available on nearby streets.

Hello! Welcome to Smash on Ice This is a tournament I plan on running every month! I want to make this tournament a fun and enjoying experience to both experienced and new players!

Details:

  1. Venue room is open at 4:30pm. Rivals of Aether is at 5pm and Ult is at 6pm. Feel free to come early to play some friendlies!
  2. Venue fee = $5 (Please pay in cash
  3. Prize pot fee = $5
  4. Please pay at the venue.
  5. Bring you own controller! Those could be Gamecube controllers, Switch pro controller, Joycons ETC. (Bring you own Gamecube adapter if you like) There is no spare or extra controllers to borrow.
  6. Bring a setup! Must include a monitor or a small tv with a Nintendo Switch with a Gamecube adapter and have Super Smash Bros. Ultimate with all characters and DLC Fighters. IF YOU BRING A FULL SETUP YOUR VENUE FEE IS WAIVERED!
  7. If you have a carpool of 2 or more participants your venue fee is waivered (does not stack with setup benefit)
  8. NO FOOD OR DRINK! Pond of Brookfield Staff will provide with consesssions.

Rules:

  1. All sets will bet best 2/3. Top 6 will be best 3/5
  2. Players can either mutually agree to pick any of the starters (graphic below) or play rock paper scissors. Winner bans first, loser bans the next 2 and winner picks the final stage.
  3. Game 2 onwards both starters and counterpicks are available. Winner bans 3 stages. Loser of that choses one of the rest. Repeat the process until the best of 3 or 5 set is done.
  4. After the set is done please report the score to the TO

Payout:

Top 4 gets paid: 1st 50% 2nd 30%, 3rd 15%, 4th 5%

(Payout will be rounded to the nearest whole)

Format:

Round Robin pools format, top cut of each pool progress into the main Double Elimination bracket.

At 7 or fewer entrants, a round-robin tournament may take place instead of round-robin pools -> top cut double-elimination. In this case, set win tiebreakers are determined by head-to-head > game win %, with payout only being split in the event of a perfect 3-way tie.

Best-of-5 sets begin at top 6.

Sets should be played on legal tournament stages & rulesets only. Players who violate this may be subject to partial or full DQ.

Payout is split among the top placing players at the following rates ($5 minimum payout):

6-8 entrants: 70/30

King Me: The Wisconsin Arcadian

ASCEND TO ROYALTY AT WISCONSIN’S FIRST ULTIMATE ARCADIAN!

What is an Arcadian?

Arcadians are tournaments that limit registration to only unranked players. As an Arcadian, King Me aims to place Wisconsin’s varied and talented unranked player base in the limelight to give them the recognition they deserve. Old heads and new up-and-coming players alike are encouraged to participate!

Eligibility

King Me’s main singles bracket is open to all players who:

  • Are Wisconsin residents (including full-time college students)
  • AND

  • Are not currently or have not previously been power ranked on the state level or higher (including states other than Wisconsin)

 

Big Sibling Doubles will allow one PR player per team (they still must be Wisconsin residents to participate).

elcome to Appleton’s premier tournament series: Phantasm! This tournament is OPEN ENTRY!

$5 Venue Fee, $5 Singles, $2 Doubles, $1 Melee, Paid NASB 2 Singles

Pre-registration online is recommended but NOT required. If you do prereg, you may pay online via PayPal or pay at the door.
