Join us at WCTC’s prestigious E-sports lab to test and improve your skills.

The E-sports lab is located in the B-Building Room B-109.

The venue has plenty of parking on campus via the campus lot.

Please note that this is a shared space. Be respectful of those around you playing other games as well as the equipment available to us.

SCHEDULE:

We’ll open up for friendlies at 4:30pm, UTIMATE bracket will start at 5:30pm.

We’ll be closing up shop at 9:00pm.

  • Only top 8 is BO5 (subject to change per attendance)
  • This is a Smash Ultimate Bracket
  • We’ll be using the Midwest Unified Ruleset!

Please bring:

  • Switch Setups (Switch, HDMI, DLC, GCC Adapter) WE HAVE MONITORS!
  • Your own controller if able (We do have a limited supply available for use)

We Have a Snack Shop right by the E-Sports Lab! Feel free to ask any WCTC student to open it up for you!

Every player automatically qualifies for Top Cut!!

Registration
  • Sign-ups are available at the door and also on this page. Players who sign-up early but aren’t present 5 minutes before the event start time will be disqualified.
  • Early sign-ups are always appreciated — it helps the event run better and saves you time at the door!
  • Players may not enter 3 singles brackets unless they are eliminated from the first 2 by the time the third starts.
  • Players may not enter more than 1 doubles bracket.
  • Bring your own controller!

Venue Rules
  • Respecting venue property is a must — please clean up any food and drink items, and be courteous of cleaning up any messes or spills.
  • Any food and drink should be placed away from setups and PCs at all times.
  • Excessive behavior such as throwing a controller, harassing organizers or players, or damaging venue equipment is not allowed and will result in a ban or other penalty.

About the venue

Magik4 Gaming’s The Hub is a tournament lounge located in downtown Milwaukee started by and for the local FGC community. We’re thankful and excited to join The Hub’s local event line-up alongside Sunday Night Fights and Thursday Throwdown (and many more), and we hope Construct regulars will feel right at home. Food & drink provided by the venue is INCLUDED with paid venue fee!

Monitor setups for all games will be provided directly by the Construct TOs and Magik4.

Price

  • $10 venue fee
  • $5 tournament entry fee

Your venue fee will be reduced by $5 if you:

  • Bring a full Ultimate setup (monitor + Nintendo Switch w/ Dock + Super Smash Bros. Ultimate w/ DLC + GameCube Controller Adapter + all necessary cords) or Melee/Project+ setup
  • Are a high school or university student (bring your student ID!)

Parking & Location

  • Parking is free on Fridays starting at 5:00pm
  • Lot 12 is the closest lot to the venue
  • The tournament will be held in Andersen Library Room 1008
  • The doors to the library will be locked starting at 6:00pm. We will have someone waiting at door 3 to let players in. If nobody is at the door, please message @quag.sir.e, @pacsmash, @lazy_26 or @takaiga on Discord
