Held biweekly on Tuesdays.

The monitors at the venue DO NOT HAVE SOUND except for the stream setup so please bring your own earbuds/headphones if you want to play with game sound.

Now that participants under the age of 18 can enter Get to the Point again, the fee for minors has been reinstated.

Bracket Structure

Round Robin Pools -> Double Elimination Top Cut

Top half of each pool -> Winner’s side Top Cut
Bottom half of each pool -> Loser’s side Top Cut

Every player automatically qualifies for Top Cut!!

Registration

Sign-ups are available at the door and also on this page. Players who sign-up early but aren’t present 5 minutes before the event start time will be disqualified.
Early sign-ups are always appreciated — it helps the event run better and saves you time at the door!
Players may not enter 3 singles brackets unless they are eliminated from the first 2 by the time the third starts.
Players may not enter more than 1 doubles bracket.

Venue Rules

Respecting venue property is a must — please clean up any food and drink items, and be courteous of cleaning up any messes or spills.
Any food and drink should be placed away from setups and PCs at all times.
Excessive behavior such as throwing a controller, harassing organizers or players, or damaging venue equipment is not allowed and will result in a ban or other penalty.

About the venue

Magik4 Gaming’s The Hub is a tournament lounge located in downtown Milwaukee started by and for the local FGC community. We’re thankful and excited to join The Hub’s local event line-up alongside Sunday Night Fights and Thursday Throwdown (and many more), and we hope Construct regulars will feel right at home. Food & drink provided by the venue is INCLUDED with paid venue fee!

Monitor setups for all games will be provided directly by the Construct TOs and Magik4.

Price

$10 venue fee

Your venue fee will be reduced by $5 if you:

Bring a full Ultimate setup (monitor + Nintendo Switch w/ Dock + Super Smash Bros. Ultimate w/ DLC + GameCube Controller Adapter + all necessary cords) or Melee/Project+ setup
Are a high school or university student (bring your student ID!)

Parking & Location

Parking is free on Fridays starting at 5:00pm
Lot 12 is the closest lot to the venue
The tournament will be held in Andersen Library Room 1008

Bringing a Setup

If you bring a full setup, your venue fee will be waived. We greatly appreciate it if you bring one, as it will help make bracket run smoother!

Qualifications for a complete setup:

Nintendo Switch and Dock
Switch is fully updated and has all DLC
Game cube adapter and all necessary chords
Low-latency Monitor

Travel Discounts

Travel benefits! If you bring 1-2 people with you, you are eligible for a $5 venue discount.
Furthermore, if you bring 3+ (3 or more) people in your carpool, you are eligible to have your venue fee waived.

Food Discounts

If you bring a party sized snack that Rangeline gets to keep, you are eligible for a $5 venue discount. Please bring nonperishable, resealable items (ie. a bag of chips, soda, sweets, etc.). A single orange does not count. If you are unsure if you can qualify, please DM Galaxy90 on discord about your inquiry.

Venue Rules

Please treat the venue with respect. Do not bring any substances or alcohol into the venue, and although food is allowed, do not make any messes. Please do not go onto the stage / sit on it. Otherwise, common sense prevails here.

Directions: THE PARKING LOT IS CONFUSING. Do your best to follow the image. Bracket will be held in the gymnasium.

Due to closures on I-94 we will be pushing back Smash bros. start time to 7pm for the foreseeable future.

Limit 2 brackets per player. Any player entering multiple brackets assumes the risk of being DQ’d to maintain tournament operating schedule.

Side bracket time will vary form week to week and will depend on the game being ran.

Welcome to Blue Devil Smash!

Blue Devil Smash is a UW Stout Campus local that takes place every Saturday and runs a variety of games, but mainly focuses on Smash Bros. Our lineup changes weekly so if you’re looking forward to playing a certain game, check back every week! (you should still come anyways and hang out)
